In this series of articles we will be documenting the assembly of the new Searey LSX.
Pictured here is a standard Searey if you are unfamiliar with the aircraft.
As with any project, organizing all the pieces and
parts is key. Small hardware is divided into bins for easy access.
To make inventorying your kit easier,
each package has its own packing list attached, listing all components and hardware in
that package. The AN Hardware kit is broken down into smaller bagged parts. Shown here for
example is the hardware sleeve for the Searey LSX Trim installation.
With the kit unpacked and everything
organized, were set to start building. In the foreground is the fiberglass hull,
fiberglass nose deck, and fiberglass wingtips. Other parts such as the sponsons can be
seen on the shelving.
